One-time desert racing pro and motor tuning specialist Mitch Payton founded Pro Circuit in 1978 when he was just 18. The early customers were desert racers and motocrossers who wanted Mitch to sort them out with the same speed setups he and his father had used on Mitch’s own race bikes.

Word of Mitch’s motor-building skills spread quickly around the Southern California racetracks and in no time there was a hardcore of Pro Circuit riders in the area. After perfecting the art of cylinder porting and polishing, Mitch and his small but elite team of specialists focused their collective energy on other bike parts and brands. Custom-tuned exhausts were the first to roll out of Mitch’s speed shop, followed by racing silencers.

Today, the brand is one of the most respected in the motocross world and has supplied some of the sports most recognisable names – like Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael – with race-winning equipment helping them to multiple national motocross titles.
