It was back in 1937 that the Gruber Brothers – Otto and Willy – decided to produce inner tube patches, followed by inner sleeves and tyre patches in 1938. During a production trial Willy described the product as ‘tip-top’ and the name of the brand was born.

By 1949 the company had produced a million inner tubes and then in 1963, Rema Tip Top UK was founded to bring those ‘tip-top’ products to Britain. Well-known in the cycling industry as the makers of some of the finest puncture repair solutions on the market, Rema Tip Top is a staple of bike shops around the country with their well-priced, high-quality kits alongside the hand cleaner, workshop gloves, blue roll and value packs of workshop rags.
